PERFORMANCES AND ACHIEVEMENTS

Rammohan Maharaj is one of the excellent dancers of his generation. After Birju Maharaj he is the torch bearer of Kaka-Bindadin Gharana of Kathak.He from his very child hood performed across the globe. Maharaj ji is not only a great dancer of his generation but also a good singer, composer and choreographer. He is also a good tabla player. He is well versed in Pakhawaj, Naal, Dholak etc.

In India Maharajji participated in the prestigious Bindadin Jayanti. He performed successfully in the Khajuraho Festival, Sarat Chandrika Mahotsava, Lucknow Mahatsova, Bhatkhande Jayanti and in Guwalior Mahatsova .He performed workshop and performance in Kalidas Academy. He was associated with Sri Ram Bharatiya Kala Kendra for many years as a senior guru. He was the director in Sangeet Natak Academy in Lucknow. He performed workshop in Kolkata, Agartala, Ahmedabad, Nasik, Bhopal, Ujjain, Lucknow and many more states of India. He has performed in almost all the states of India.

Indian Council for Cultural Relations (I.C.C.R) has sent him too many countries for workshop. In abroad he maintained his personality as a generous guru and a top performer. In 1979 he traveled to Algeria, Kenya, and Ethiopia. In 1982 he visited to Afghanistan. In 1985 he stepped to Kuwait. In 1986 he proved himself as talented artist in U.S.A. in 1987 he went to U.S.S.R, Egypt and Syria. In 1988 he performed excellently in Guyana. In 1991 he went to Germany in the festival of India. In 1992 he went to Suriname for three years as a guru and a performer. In 1998 Maharajji went to Brunei. He also performed in London, New Zealand. South Africa, Japan, Holland, Paris, Brazil, Mauritius, Singapore, Dubai and many others countries.

Now in these days he is running a national recognized Organization in the name of his father. He has is dedicating his much time in making new talents in the field of kathak. We cannot conclude about such a young maestro, his life is full of deeds. The mentioned facts are only few from his works. He is a man riding the steps of success to the peak of mountain. He is Top grade from Doordarshan. He is the outstanding grade from I.C.C.R.

He has been awarded with Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award 2006, Arch of Excellence Award, Outstanding National Citizen Award, and Gems of India Award. Presently he is the Founder Chairman and HOD of Aangikam - his National level Organization.

Rammohan Maharaj has composed and choreographed many dance items & ballets like "Akash ne Pukara", "Basant Bahar", "Shiv Tandav", "Mugal -e- Darbar", "Ritu - Rang", " Maha-Raas", "Asur Daman" , "Gajgamini" etc.
